Some people may tell you that Instagram is for children. Actually, I just had someone recently tell me that Instagram is only for younger people. Let me tell you, that couldn't be farther from the truth, especially for those of you who want to use Instagram as a platform to grow your business.
Here's what I say to the people who refuse to acknowledge the fact that Instagram is a top contender in the social media world for business owners... "see ya!".
Here's the deal, if those people don't want to participate in an amazing opportunity to grow their business... Great!! More for you and me! lol... But seriously. Instagram is awesome!
I've generated a TON of leads on Instagram and anyone who realizes that this platform is not just for kids snapping selfies, have a really good shot at making some dough on this social media platform.
So, here are my tips for generating leads on instagram.
Page Contents
1. Identify your target market
This is no different than any other platform out there. You need to identify exactly who it is you're talking to. Come up with an avatar of your ideal prospect. Once you figure this key piece of information out, it will drive the content you put out to the marketplace.
2. Create content based on your audience's needs
Now that you've identified who your target market is, it's time to create some valuable content. When creating any piece of content, you should be asking yourself "Does this solve a problem for my target market?" If the answer if yes, than great. If the answer is no, than work on creating content that will help the people you are talking to.
Always create content that makes you the person who has the solution to someone's problem. If you can effectively do this, people will fall in love with you.
3. Have a call to action (CTA)
Every single piece of content you put out, should have a call to action. A call to action is simply something that moves someone to take a desired action. On Instagram, the only place you can place a link that leads to an external site is in your bio. So, every piece of content you post should be telling someone to check out your bio. Tip: You can link to your bio by placing the @ symbol plus your username in the description.
4. Church up your bio
Your bio is your realestate on Instagram. You want to make sure this is on point. Ensure that you are telling people a little bit about yourself in your bio, but more importantly, how you can help them.
Remember, your bio is the only place you can place a link on Instagram, so make sure you're linking to a lead capture page. This is how you'll generate leads on Instagram.
